One of our all time favourite types of sourdough, our Rye Porridge bread is a deliciously sweet and versatile loaf with an exceptionally tender and moist crumb. To make this bread we ferment freshly cracked rye berries for 24 hours before slow cooking them into a dark, sweet porridge, and finally adding it all to our bread dough. This allows us to craft a bread that benefits from the amazing whole grain flavour and nutrition, without making the bread overly dense. Our porridge breads have exceptional keeping qualities, and if stored cut-side down with only a tea towel to cover, they last many days on the kitchen counter. One of our absolute favourites!
